Projects stretching from Munchies through OK 2 LA, Weekend and Literally give the Oklahoma City artist a real independent timeline. The records hit hardest next to the creative circle that keeps showing up around him: Kid Lennon, Ripleyz, Alexis Renee, Nymasis and Young Hippy Kids.
The memory holding it together
The 2021 “Walk Thru” video with Kid Lennon and Ripleyz plants the crew in Oklahoma City and still works as a public record of the 405 network. Other videos and live pieces stretch that shared world even further.
Somebody needs to sit Rod down for the oral history, because years of uploads are waiting to be connected to the songs, the locations and the people who made them together. The catalog is already there. The memory tying it together is the deeper story.
