This is a fan-favorite tournament. FVTV selects the eligible field, then the audience votes for the songs they want to advance.

Four rounds take the field from 16 to 8 to 4 to 2. Free website voting decides who advances.

04

One song wins

The final fan-vote winner receives $100 and the FVTV Song of the Year title for this edition.

First-edition rules

A fair shot
for every song.

Read these rules before entering. The title identifies this FVTV fan-vote edition; it does not claim a calendar-year award covering every release.

Who and what can enter?

Entrants must be at least 18 and reside in the United States. FVTV staff and artists directly managed by FVTV are not eligible. The artist or their authorized representative must submit the entry.

Enter one official song per artist, first released between October 19, 2025 and October 19, 2026, inclusive. The song, working public listening link and original release date must reach FVTV before the entry deadline. Missing contact, eligibility or agreement details may be clarified within 48 hours of FVTV’s request; new or replacement songs cannot be added after closing. Songs released in late 2025 are eligible when they fall within that window.

Entry and voting are free. No purchase is necessary. Buying promotion, services or merchandise does not affect selection, seeding or vote totals.

How is the 16-song field chosen?

FVTV reviews submissions for eligibility and a working listening link. If more than 16 eligible songs enter, FVTV selects the field using song quality, originality and presentation. Follower count and payments do not affect selection. Entering does not guarantee a place. FVTV will announce the selected field and any alternates before voting begins.

Contact ceo@fvtvmedia.com to correct or withdraw an entry. An alternate may replace a withdrawn artist before the bracket is published. Once the bracket is locked, FVTV will publish any necessary withdrawal decision.

How will voting work?

Fans will vote on this website after the bracket is announced. One verified person or account may cast one vote per matchup. Likes, comments, shares and follows on social media are not tournament votes and do not earn extra votes. Votes do not carry over to later rounds.

Each matchup will use equal-length song excerpts and the same voting window for both entrants. Paid votes, bots, duplicate accounts and coordinated fraudulent voting are prohibited. FVTV may remove invalid votes after review and will publish the final valid count for each matchup.

Voting is not open yet. The opening and closing times, verification steps and matchup links will be published here before the first round.

What happens in a tie?

A tied matchup goes to a 24-hour runoff announced on this page. If the runoff remains tied, three independent judges will score the songs using the same disclosed rubric: song quality, originality and presentation. The judging procedure and panel will be published before voting begins.

FVTV will record the result and explain any ruling affecting who advances. A runoff may shift a later announcement by a day.

What does the winner receive?

The winning artist receives one $100 cash prize and the FVTV Song of the Year title for this edition. FVTV will contact the winner through the email provided with the entry to confirm the payment method. Payment will be made within seven days of the audited final result. No fee is required to claim the prize.

The prize is a commitment from FVTV. Sponsor participation does not determine whether the tournament proceeds and does not influence results.

How may FVTV use an entry?

You retain ownership of your song. By entering, you allow FVTV to use the submitted song, artist name and artwork to present, promote and document this tournament, including song excerpts in matchup content.

Provide material you are authorized to submit. No rights transfer is required. Your contact details are used to administer your entry and are not published or automatically added to a newsletter.
