Known together as Mike Bone, the Oklahoma City duo started rapping young and built a style made to travel through rooms that don’t always share the same expectations: clubs, churches, schools, community programs, TV stages and Native arts spaces.
Music that gives back
Songs like “Rain Dance,” “Frybread Snackin’,” “Skoden,” “Fist In The Air” and “O-City” show the range in that voice, with humor next to affirmation and cultural references riding hooks built to move a crowd.
National looks, including America’s Got Talent and work connected to Reservation Dogs, grew the audience. Their community work, speaking on bullying, substance-use prevention and chasing a dream on your own terms, shows what they choose to do with that spotlight: show up, perform, talk plain and make Native young people visible.
