Known collectively as Mike Bone, the Oklahoma City duo began rapping young and built a style meant to travel across rooms that do not always share the same expectations: clubs, churches, schools, community programs, television stages and Native arts spaces.
Music that gives something back
Songs including “Rain Dance,” “Frybread Snackin’,” “Skoden,” “Fist In The Air” and “O-City” show the range in that voice, with humor beside affirmation and cultural reference beside hooks built to move a crowd.
National appearances, including America’s Got Talent and work connected to Reservation Dogs, expanded the audience. Their community-facing work—speaking on bullying, substance-use prevention and pursuing a dream on your own terms—shows what they choose to do with that attention: show up, perform, speak plainly and make Native young people visible.
