KANE KUHTTI’S R&B COMES STRAIGHT OUT OF LAWTON
The Lawton singer-songwriter writes from her own changes, links up across the region and is still hitting stages in 2026.
Kane Kuhtti’s story starts in Lawton, the Southwest Oklahoma city where music turned into a lifelong habit.
She told KSWO she came over from Germany in 2003 and grew up in Lawton. The relationships she built there got her into studios, and her own run-ins with trouble and personal change became the raw material for her R&B.
Change, out loud
Her 2023 “Off Top” video put a real Lawton police officer inside a story about change and community connection. Kuhtti has described the collab as part of a bigger push to show young people there’s a purpose out here beyond street conflict.
Her work has traveled through Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Atlanta connections, and a 2026 Lawton performance listing shows the hometown circuit is still live. Everything on the record points to a regional artist who keeps bringing resources, stages and eyes back to Southwest Oklahoma.
