Caspa Clark brings Redman into his independent catalog on “Rip it & Twist it,” a compact rap record built around a recurring title hook and a straight MC-to-MC handoff.
The record stays focused on bars rather than stretching for a crossover structure. Caspa handles the first section before Redman enters in the second half with the loose, conversational punchline style that has defined much of his work. The feature feels connected to the record’s approach instead of pasted onto a different kind of song.
That fit is the strongest part of the release. “Rip it & Twist it” leans into a traditional rap-feature format: one central refrain, distinct verses and enough room for the guest appearance to change the energy without changing the record’s identity.
The single was released July 17 through Noice Recordz. Caspa Clark has been building his catalog independently through the label while continuing to work with established MCs.
