BUBBIE Builds “We Champions” Around a Hook Made for the Crowd

The independent artist turns a winning mindset into a chant-heavy R&B/trap record, with a chorus meant to carry beyond the headphones.

A record called “We Champions” has to sound like it believes in the title. BUBBIE gives the phrase an immediate job: he wants a crowd to be able to shout it back.

The official recording rides a measured, roughly 74 BPM pulse. Its central line, “we champions, baby,” returns enough times to feel like an anthem rather than a passing hook. There is a bright, almost locker-room confidence to the R&B and trap production; the verses lean into leadership and winning, with quarterback imagery that reinforces the song's team-first mood.

That repetition is both the record's appeal and its main limitation. The chorus is easy to remember, but its frequent returns leave less space for the verses to establish the artist's personality. A longer verse passage or one stripped-back transition would make the next chant hit with greater force.

FVTV first encountered “We Champions” through BUBBIE's Groover submission. The song also appears as track three on the artist's Big Dog release, dated May 8, 2026 and credited to Bosswave Publishing. In a direct October 13 message, William Johnson, who records as BUBBIE, welcomed FVTV's coverage and described himself as an independent artist. His plans beyond the record are worth hearing in his own words rather than assuming a biography from the song's mood.

For now, “We Champions” is clear about its purpose. It wants to be the record played after the team wins, when the hook matters more than any individual line. The next conversation is what BUBBIE wants listeners to understand when the chant ends.
