Ayodele IAFT’s ‘Wonder Woman’ drops the admiration in its title into a relationship that’s still working through its mistakes. The narrator wants to be close, and the writing owns up to the arguments and how hard it is to take responsibility.
That mix is the point. The person he admires is part of a real disagreement, and his own behavior stays in the frame. Attraction doesn’t wipe away the questions about how two people treat each other.
Every time the title comes back, the song returns to its affectionate center while the verses keep complicating it. Admitting imperfection becomes part of trying to make the relationship worth keeping.
‘Wonder Woman’ comes at romance through that push and pull between praise and accountability. What matters is whether the love can survive the work it takes to back it up.
